What a certificate verifies
A TLS certificate links a domain to a public key and lets the browser verify the server. SSL remains a familiar name, while modern connections use TLS. Encryption protects transport; it does not prove that the site owner is trustworthy.
Free or commercial
Domain validation is sufficient for many websites. OV and EV add organisation checks and may be required by a customer’s internal policy. A more expensive certificate does not make application code safer by itself.
What we configure
We configure domain coverage, the trust chain, HTTPS, redirects and automatic renewal. We also check forms and mixed content. The quote separates the certificate, installation work and any ongoing maintenance.
