What TLS 1.3 is
It is a version of the protocol securing HTTPS connections. It shortens the connection handshake and removes several obsolete cryptographic options. Certificates and protocol versions are related but separate settings.
What about older clients
TLS 1.2 and 1.3 are commonly supported with suitable secure settings. Clients, payment services and integrations should be checked before changes. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are obsolete for a modern public configuration.
What we check
Library and server versions, certificate chains, supported protocols and representative clients. We prepare rollback and verify connections after a restart.
